Fastest and Easiest prep method
If you have ever sanded/grinded a log home, you will appreciate every minute with a blaster.
The Blaster-Buddy is an innovative solution for removing old finishes from wooden surfaces in an environmentally friendly way. Unlike traditional methods that use water or harsh chemicals, the Blaster-Buddy uses specially sized recycled crushed glass media or corncob blast media.
One of the biggest advantages of the Blaster-Buddy is that it doesn’t require any water, which means that no water gets into your walls during the blasting process. Additionally, there are no caustic strippers or chemicals used, making it a safer option for both you and the environment.
The Blaster-Buddy can use different grits of media – fine and extra fine – to suit different types of stain removal jobs. Depending on the condition of the finish to be removed, age of the wood, and wood characteristics, one bag of the abrasive media can typically clean about 75 to 200 square feet of surface area.

Leaves Best Finish
When done properly, media blasting leaves one of the best finish for the logs to receive stain. To get it though, it usually means blasting first and then a quick secondary sand with an Osborn Brush to remove the felting and even out the wood to prevent over absorbtion of stain.
