Oxcon (Oxalix Acid Concentrate)
$69.99
Oxcon (oxalic acid concentrate) is the only effective treatment for rust stains from around nails, spikes, and screws.
Oxcon comes as a concentrate that is diluted with water prior to use. It is best applied using a garden type pump-up sprayer but a brush or broom will also work. Apply a liberal amount to the wood, let it work on the surface for 10 to 15 minutes and rinse it thoroughly with clean water.
Oxcon should not be used for spot cleaning since it may cause blotching of the surface.

Measured Square Footage
Take each wall and multiply length x height. Example 40' long x 10' high= 400 sq. ft.
Add each wall together 400 + 400 + 250 + 250 = 1300 sq. ft. Example 400 sq. ft. x 4= 1600 sq. ft.
For each of your gable ends (the triangles) use Base x Height/2
Example 30' x 15' = 450'/2 = 225 sq ft. Add all areas together.
Adjust for Type of Log
A round log has a different surface area than a flat timber. We must account for the curvature and size of the log so we don't end up short on stain. Select your log type
Maintenance Coat
Most maintenance coats are done with one coat, often clear. If you plan to add a coat of color and a clear, feel free to ask one of our specialists for some advice.
Surface Condition
Rough logs will take more stain than smooth logs. If your logs are rough, check off the box and it will calculate based on a rough surface.
Note: All calculations are estimated. Actual coverage will vary based on surface condition, species and moisture content.

Buffy Pad System
Use these helpful tools so finish sanding won’t wear you out.
Sashco’s Buffy Pad system are the efficient and easy-to-use alternatives to everyday sandpaper. They make quick work of removing wood fuzz (called felting), and are gentle yet effective when used on hand-peeled logs and delicate wood fixtures that require a light touch.Use these helpful tools so finish sanding won’t wear you out. Less agressive than an Osborn brush for finish sanding, but also able to run up to 4000 RPM instead of 1800 RPM for an Osborn brush. (This allows it to be used on a variable speed grinder or car polisher)Â
